Are you yearning for the life you set aside to do what you felt you “should”? Then let four college-age Canadian friends bring you back to your dreams. That’s what they set out to do on a road trip in a “funky old bus.” That bus broke down in my village of Sausalito so they found adventure, gave comfort and opened hearts whilst here.
See how long you can avoid answering their burning question What are the 100 things you want to do before you die? Matthew Arnold’s poem, The Buried Life, inspired Ben, Dave, Duncan and Jonnie to start crossing items off their lists:
“But often, in the world’s most crowded streets, but often, in the din of strife, there rises an unspeakable desire after the knowledge of our buried life; a thirst to spend our fire and restless force in tracking out our true, original course.”
What did they learn and what are they up to now? A movie, sponsors, radio show ….? In true Me2We spirit they are creating a community of list-writing friends that can include you. We chat with Ben Nemtin and Dave Lingwood on this podcast. Funny how following your dreams (with others) creates a close-knit community around you.
Great topic for a show! On a related note, there’s a meme going round the blogosphere called the “Bucket List.” In other words, you list the things you want to do before you kick the bucket. Here’s one example from my friend and colleague, Chris Brogan: http://chrisbrogan.com/the-bucket-meme/
Thanks Bryan. I, too am a Chris Brogan fan and love his Bucket list … and The Monster Blog is still doing ery well – kudos! – Kare
